Dayahx - Strength

A frown pulled his lips down his face. What kind of joke was this? A skeleton? A skeleton that looked eerily like him? He shouldn't have come to see this 'fortune teller' after all.

At the very least he shouldn't have touched her hand. But there she sat still, grinning like the men who had spent far too many days smoking the medicine man's herbs, and instead of asking the woman, who was sure to give him any answer but a straight one, decided to consult the smartest person he personally knew to read what it said.


"It says strength." Lenayx frowned, brows furrowing as he handed the card back into larger hands.

It was true his strength bothered him. He wasn't strong, he had never been particularly strong or he would have been an exceptional warrior in his tribe.
Instead he beaded things, a jeweler. Practically a woman. Nearly useless had his tribe not loved to decorate themselves, and had the settlers not desired the same.
But he wasn't going to let this white man's prophecy bother him, after all, what did white men know about speaking with spirits and seeing into the future? Nothing.

"Stupid." Was his quiet reply, he wouldn't bother to think about the card any longer. Or at the very least he tried not to, but the word echoed in the back of his mind no matter how hard he had tried to forget it, it was like a plague, a curse, and there was only one way that he knew how to deal with things that plagued a person.

Eventually the card ended up torn to pieces, shredded and in the trash, the least of his worries now and Dayahx had finally stopped thinking about it. Or so he told himself.

And here's my submission. Oh my gosh, this event is so amazing, I can't wait to see what happens later!

So, about the card, Strength really is his biggest weakness, and in truth it bothers him a lot. Not that he talks about it. Ever.

Even on his stat sheet it's his weakest link, (resting at a 40, I'd say it's pretty abysmal) but I always hoped he would one day be able to improve on it, character development and whatnot.

So yeah, whatever muscle he has is kind of just for show, like a peacock.

The stitches are over his mouth because, while he might occasionally mention to Len his worries, he won't ever mention it to anyone else. So as well as not having physical strength, there's also not having the strength to confide in others as well.
